Why I started Syvo

Syvo grew out of wanting to put my interest in technology to practical use. I build websites and digital tools around what each business needs, whether that’s a new site or a way to automate repetitive work.

How it works

The Syvo website uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript and is served by Apache on a Raspberry Pi. The interactive demos on the service pages run in the visitor’s browser.

Separate TypeScript and Node.js tools handle the work behind the services. The website checker uses Playwright to visit sites, follow a set of steps and save results and screenshots. A client portal keeps track of projects, their supporting files and the finished work. Data is stored in SQLite, and jobs run in a separate background process.

Syvo and Syvo Labs

Syvo is where I work with businesses. Labs is where I share my own projects, experiments and whatever I’m building next.
