A personal tool that tracks gravel bike listings across shops and marketplaces, with price and size checks.
Why I built it
I was looking for a gravel bike and got tired of checking the same shops and listings. Cykelskanner puts the options in one place so I can focus on bikes that fit me and my budget.
How it works
Written in Python, Cykelskanner pulls bike listings from shop product pages, marketplaces and Tradera’s official API. It stores details such as model, price, size and availability in a consistent format in SQLite.
Each scan updates the listings and keeps a price history, so I can see when a bike has dropped in price. A private web dashboard lets me filter and sort the results. Listings are hidden if the size is missing or inconsistent.
I can also receive iMessage alerts when a bike meets my size and price requirements and has a verified price drop.
A personal tool
It runs locally, and the dashboard is private. It isn’t available as a public service or demo.
